Evangelism

Often time’s people come to church and accept Christ, or we witness to them and they make a confession of faith and we lose them. Somewhere between the confession and the snares of life they find no reason to stay connected to the church. I know the real reason is that they lack a foundation and understanding of God’s love.

God says in II Peter 3:18, “Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” It is a personal relationship with Him that makes the difference. However, so many people have a false understanding of God. They have not had success in many relationships and find it difficult to believe God wants to be a part of their lives. I have seen too many people come in the church and leave frustrated, not reaching the full potential that God has for them. Evangelism is the heartbeat of the Baptist Church. As we lead people to Christ, not only will we tell them that they need a Savior, but through discipleship knowledge of the Word, training, and teaching we aim to show people how to live productive and prosperous lives. It is time to reap the harvest. Matthew 11:12 says, “Since the days of John the Baptist the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent taketh by force.” It is my desire to see God’s people have everything He meant for them to have and most importantly, to know Him and His saving grace.
